2014 Preview

Lower Half (106-145): With five starters returning from last season, the lowerweights will be a huge strength for the Raiders.  Senior Darnell Holmes, a 20-match winner, will be the anchor of the group.  After combining for 29 wins as freshmen, Alex Erven and Teddy Smith are back and give Keyport a very good 1-2 punch at 106 & 113. 

Upper Half (152-Hwt):  With the loss of the Prevost quadruplets to graduation, there will be some work to be done in rebuilding the upperweights.  The Raiders do have a healthy amount of numbers for a Group 1 school to plug in however, and returning seniors Alex Meza and Dan O'Steen will be looked upon to provide veteran leadership for the newcomers.

Outlook: The Prevosts will be missed, but just about everyone else returns.  The Raiders snapped a 6-year streak of losing seasons in 2013, and are looking to remain on the plus side of .500 again in 2014.  The hope is to also make some noise in the post-season and push multiple wrestlers into the Regions.
