Head coach Al Smith returns for an 18th season at Keyport, currently the 3rd longest run for a coach in the Shore. His 2013 Red Raiders return six wrestlers that reached double digit winners in 2012, giving him a strong base to break in several newcomers around.
Among the key returners are Joe and Steve Prevost, who led the team in wins a season with ago with 23 apiece. Josh Prevost (17 wins) and Tyler Borza (12 wins) also return in the upper half of the lineup giving the Raiders a solid core up top.
Keyport has three starters returning in the lower half in the lineup. Junior Darnell Holmes and sophomore Ron Cox both hit the teens in wins as underclassmen a year ago. Another junior, Jake Andrews also returns. The Raiders don't have a lot of depth in the first three weights, and if all three spots are filled it will be by first year starters including a pair of freshmen in Alex Erven and Teddy Smith.
